Stillwater Bodyworks Code of Ethics

Client Relationships
  • I provide compassionate care, respecting the client’s current:
    • Physical state, personal preferences and boundaries.

  • I keep clients appropriately draped at all times, exposing only the areas on which to be worked.

  • I practice “Informed Consent”, so clients clearly understand and approve any treatment, before it begins.

  • I keep all client information confidential.

  • I acknowledge the limitations of my skills and, when necessary, refer clients to the appropriate qualified health care professional.

My Practice
  • I provide non-sexual, therapeutic massage, bodywork, yoga and meditation training, with the intention of helping clients optimize their health and well-being.

  • I dedicate my life to helping all beings suffer less. I am committed to a lifelong practice of the 14 Mindfulness Trainings of the Order of Interbeing.

  • I abide by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

  • I truthfully represent my education, training, qualifications and abilities.

  • I have a circle of teachers and advisors with whom I meet on a regular basis, for review, reflection, support and guidance.
